You can make this with chart-paper. And if you write something beautiful it becomes a lovely card! You will need some chart-paper, a fat string(jute or some such material), a pattern for the butterfly and colours to colour it. Draw the pattern (example given below) and copy it on the chart-papers. Cut them out. So you will have two to three butterflies! Arrange them together and tie the string around them in the centre. Tie the knot where the head should be and cut-off the string so that the antenna is made of the same string. You can colour the butterfly, paste stickers or write something nice. Pop-up cards look cool and are fun to make.
They make your art three dimensional and immediately bring a smile on the face of the person who receives it. You will basically need paper, glue, colour pencils and scissors. There are many different designs and methods but today I shall share a video of 'How to make a 3D flower pop-up card'. The bunch of flowers in the center look so pretty! Go ahead and make it! Remember you can make it for anybody and for any occasion!

Print some Measuring Instruments!
Let's say you have lost your scale and there is a test tomorrow. You may have also broken it in the tiff that you had with your friend the other day! How about having prints of some such instruments? They are disposable and easy to pack too!!

Make a Paper Orchid
![]() I found these paper orchids to be very beautiful indeed. They can be used to decorate a gift or even be clipped into your hair as a funky embellishment. You can also work out your own ideas. This flower has only 4 pieces and is very easy to make. So print either the bright pink or white PDF (or both) and follow the easy steps below! Get the PDF files here - pink and white.

My dear student Avantika is an avid cook. She has sent me a recipe of her chocolate cake. Try it and let me know how it tastes.
Ingredients
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans. 2. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pans. 3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost with "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" CHOCOLATE FROSTING. 'PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE' CHOCOLATE FROSTING Ingredients 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine 2/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa 3 cups powdered sugar 1/3 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. About 2 cups frosting for chocolate lovers TIP: You can insert a fork or something inside the cake to check if it is baked properly,if it comes out with no cake batter stuck on it it is baked or if the opposite happens it is not. |
